Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute hospital experience to join an inpatient rehab team supporting a diverse patient population.

• Inpatient acute care rehab setting serving all acuity levels from ICU to progressive care units
• Monday to Friday day shifts, plus one weekend day per month
• Patient diagnoses include cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, orthopedic injuries, respiratory illnesses, neurological conditions, and more
• Part of a rehab team of 19 professionals
• Cerner charting is required and Cerner experience is preferred
• Floating to other units and affiliate hospitals is required
• Evaluate patients, develop and implement plans of care, and make discharge disposition recommendations
• Perform ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and other interventions to improve function
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
• Royal blue scrubs and black shoes are required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• IN residents are considered local for this position
• Applicants who previously held a perm or PRN role at this facility must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday time off may be auto-approved; more requires approval

• Current BLS certification
• Active Indiana state OT license or compact license required if applicable
• Current NBCOT certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of OT experience in an acute hospital setting
• Manual therapy or lymphedema certifications preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• Two supervisor references required
