Unit Specifics:
Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :
Type of equipment: Servo U & Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, & heliox therapy.
Documentation system: Epic
Scheduling requirements: 7PM - 12 hr shift
Patient Experience requirements: 1+ years Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience
Must have :
- NBRC
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
- 1+ year Neonatal or PICU Critical Care experience, and 2+ years as RRT
Procedures performed on unit: Must be able to independently admit and manage vented patients in Peds ICU using Servo -U ventilator. Also, setup and manage heliox therapy though invasive and non-invasive measures. Familiar with non-invasive ventilation including use of biPAP and CPAP. Neonatal skills to include Bubble CPAP, and use of nitric oxide, and high frequency ventilation.
