Respiratory Therapist May be eligible for a sign on bonus 72-hours per pay period, eligible for benefits Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson is a fully integrated medical campus that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient health care to residents in upper Michigan and northeast Wisconsin. The Respiratory Therapist supports the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) in delivering inpatient and outpatient respiratory therapy services to patients from neonatal to geriatric, under the direction of physicians and administration. In this role, the individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgment to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. The individual must act as a healthcare leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting department leadership in developing, setting and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Marshfield Clinic Health System's mission statement. Requires: Associate Degree, Diploma, or Certification in a Respiratory Therapy Program Experience working with mechanical ventilation of patients from neonatal to geriatric. Respiratory Care Practitioner license awarded by the State of Wisconsin or Michigan depending on location. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care and maintain the active credential per NBRC Guidelines. If Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is not active at time of hire, it must be obtained within one year of hire or by 7/1/2021 if hired prior to 6/30/2019. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications awarded by the American Heart Association within one year of hire. Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. Certified Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT) and Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care at time of hire.
