Job Title: School-Based Audiologist

Location: Near Carlsbad, NM Area

Job Type: Full-Time | 2025-2026 School Year

We believe that access to hearing services is crucial to educational success, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Audiologist to join our student support services team.

The School-Based Audiologist will provide audiological services to students from preschool through high school. This role includes identifying hearing loss, supporting students with hearing impairments, and collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure students academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations.

• Interpret audiological data and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications.

• Fit and manage assistive listening devices such as hearing aids and FM/DM systems.

• Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, school nurses, and special education staff.

• Provide training and support to staff on hearing health, assistive technologies, and best practices.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational goals and plans.

• Maintain accurate records and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D. preferred).

• Valid state licensure and/or certification in Audiology.

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) preferred.

• Experience working with children and in school settings is highly desirable.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
