  • Full Time

It’s Time to Get Better! Piedmont’s Inpatient Acute Rehab (IPAR) program is a 20-bed unit that offers intense acute rehab services for patients who are experiencing a functional decline from a wider range of diagnoses.

The rehab team includes nurses, nursing assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, and case managers. IPAR offers an on-site physician team, including both a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) doctor and an Internal Medicine doctor that work together to coordinate your clinical needs. The doctors lead the rehab team to maximize the patient’s functional improvement, including spearheading communication and training with family/caregivers. Our facility serves patients with a variety of conditions. However, the most common diagnoses of patients being admitted to IPAR are neurological disease or injury (e.g. stroke) and orthopedic conditions.

  • Our programs are consistently ranked in the top-tier for rehabilitation quality and outcomes, including being ranked #5 in Georgia by Newsweek in America's Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024.
  • Eastside ranked in the top 10 percent of 861 inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), in the United States, that qualified to be ranked in the IRF database of Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR®, LLC) for the past 8 years.
  • Our team creates an individualized plan of care targeted to meet the needs of each patient and strives to create a positive and rewarding experience for patients as they work towards achieving their rehab goals.
