Physical Therapist AssistantResponsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a physicaltherapist to provide physical therapy services

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapistand in accordance with MD orders

• Record treatments in the medical record

• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and department

• Communicate with Supervisor and other teammembers regarding resident progress, problems, and plans

• Instruct families and staff in maintenance orhome exercise programs as directed by the Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist AssistantRequirements

• Degree from an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistantprogram

• Current, valid NYS license

• COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred

• Previous experience in post-acute/long-term care
