SSM Health Physical Therapy
Dardenne Prairie, MO
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Full-Time, Part-Time Optional
SSM Health Physical Therapy's Pediatric Therapy Program is in search of a passionate pediatric occupational therapist. We are a fast growing program, offering PT, OT, and ST to children ages 0-21 in the center of North St. Louis County. Applicants must be creative, adaptable, and good team players, with willingness to always grow and learn in order to best serve our patients.
When applicable, children are treated by a multidisciplinary team, making it vital that all members have strong communication skills. As we grow in our new space, we ask that new hires will be willing to help develop and expand the services that we offer, so that families can count on us to walk beside them in all aspects of their childs care.
Occupational therapists must be comfortable evaluating and treating children with a variety of developmental and neurological conditions, administering PDMS-2, BOT-2, and/or Sensory Profile during evaluations and re-evaluations. Treatment approaches for Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Developmental Delay are a plus in this clinic, as these conditions make up a majority of the caseload. We are especially looking for someone who is either certified, or interested in becoming certified in feeding, in order to accommodate frequent referrals from area MDs.
Working with young children, it is integral that therapists are able to frequently squat, jump, stand, walk, and sometimes run. Our therapists are constantly on the move (dancing, singing, and playing) to make treatments something that our patients look forward to during the week. We thrive on creativity and imagination, so every day is different and exciting!
