Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist to join our team. (Approximately 20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician. Duties include:

OrdersObtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.Patient AssessmentAble to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time. Routine TherapySets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. Ventilator TherapyAble to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. Outpatient ClinicAble to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion. POCTAble to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and JointCommission requirements for licensing and accreditation
