A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Ballwin, MO. This full-time contract position spans the school year and offers the chance to work across multiple buildings, providing diverse experiences and the opportunity to impact students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The district is actively hiring 13 full-time SLPs and aims to accommodate individual location preferences whenever possible.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust interventions based on student needs.
- Serve students in 2-3 buildings, fostering a flexible and adaptable approach to service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives supporting student communication development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 populations.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and effective therapy techniques.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently across multiple school environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- 32.5 billable hours per week.
- Position offers onsite or hybrid work arrangements with openness to hybrid scheduling.
- Contract position available for the duration of the school year.
