This position offers an opportunity for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students in a school setting within the Minneapolis, MN area, including surrounding zip codes 55101, 55121, 55132, and 55147. The role involves contract work during the current school year, running from ASAP through June 12, 2025.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 20 elementary students. The caseload is diverse, supporting both resource and self-contained classrooms, primarily working with students who have multiple disabilities where speech is a secondary challenge. A smaller portion of the caseload involves 2-3 students with primary speech-language impairments. The work schedule is part-time, consisting of 16 hours per week, generally arranged as two eight-hour days. Flexibility for completing paperwork and attending meetings remotely is available.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) as an SLP or relevant licensure as an SLPA
Experience in school-based settings, specifically with elementary-aged students
Familiarity with providing services to students with multiple disabilities and speech-language impairments
Ability to provide mostly direct services, tailoring support to individual student needs
Strong organizational skills to manage paperwork and remote meetings efficiently
