Job Description
A dynamic opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support a K-12 school environment. This contract position spans the full school year and is located in Renton, Washington, serving students across kindergarten through 12th grade. The role requires on-site presence to effectively engage with students and collaborate with school staff, replacing previous virtual services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet students communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with transition planning as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Experience working with a diverse K-12 school-aged caseload
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site educational setting
- Familiarity with relevant state and federal education regulations and guidelines
