Job Description
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a K-12 school setting in Hollidaysburg, PA. This role supports the speech-language pathologist in delivering effective communication intervention and therapy services to students across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy programs under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist.
- Monitor and document student progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepare materials and organize resources needed for speech-language activities.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support individual student needs.
- Maintain treatment areas and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working in educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with K-12 speech and language diagnostics and interventions.
