Description

  • Craft tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate challenges while paving the way for long-term communication or swallowing objectives.
  • Engage in one-on-one speech therapy that prioritizes language, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancements.
  • Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive care plans.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care during treatment.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt documentation adheres to all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Enhance your professional acumen by engaging in ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Credential of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training required within the first month of employment.
