Description

  • Deliver individualized therapy that centers on communication clarity, language enhancement, fluency improvement, voice functionality, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to create a cohesive and supportive care environment.
  • Facilitate educational initiatives for both patients and their families to promote progress in between therapy sessions.
  • Participate in intermittent inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation journey.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within a month of commencement of employment.
