Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive care plans.
  • Provide educational resources for both patients and their families to encourage growth beyond clinical visits.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care delivery throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and peer dialogue to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
