American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1-2 years of experience for a hospital-based patient care role with regional floating expectations.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a hospital physical therapy department
Day shift schedule
Potential floating to other facilities in the Central Region including Wausau, Merrill, and Langlade as needed
Treats a diverse patient population including those requiring outpatient and occasional home care or hospice visits
Duties include patient assessment, developing and revising treatment plans, administering manual and physical agent treatments, and educating patients and families
Responsible for evaluating and modifying prosthetic and orthotic devices and coordinating with Orthotists and physicians as needed
Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Aides, and volunteers
Active participation in departmental meetings, inservices, and continuing education is expected
May plan and participate in physical therapy research and training programs
Expected to adhere to patient safety protocols, hospital policies, and national safety goals
Scrub or professional attire as required by department policy

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required; Masters or Doctorate preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
Must have current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Michigan; may practice with temporary license, but must obtain permanent license within one year (License required if applicable)
Valid drivers license required if providing home care or hospice visits
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and assist with patient transfers
Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills required
