This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, supporting students from August 11, 2025, through May 22, 2026, with coverage required during maternity leave from mid-October to January. The role demands an in-person commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 55 students, with a significant focus on children with autism who present complex communication needs. Additional students served encompass both general education and special education populations requiring articulation and language disorder interventions. Expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, specifically LAMP and Touch Chat, is essential for this role. This position is situated within a newly established school building boasting well-established programs and experienced administrative staff. Collaboration is encouraged, with an additional SLP available onsite 2-3 days weekly for support. The Lead SLP will provide ongoing guidance and resources to foster professional development and effective therapy delivery. Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) and possess prior experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within educational settings. Familiarity with AAC systems and a proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams are highly desired.
