School Based Physical Therapist (PT) - Oregon

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) in a K12 school setting. This contract position is designed for professionals with expertise in pediatric physical therapy who are passionate about helping students achieve greater mobility, independence, and participation in their educational environment.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Physical Therapist license

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

  • Experience working with school-aged children (K12)

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Familiarity with physical disabilities, motor function disorders, and adaptive equipment

  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students physical and functional abilities related to educational performance

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with IEP goals

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student access to the curriculum

  • Provide direct therapy services and consultative support as outlined in IEPs

  • Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment and classroom modifications

  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and district reporting standards

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reporting and goal setting

  • Educate school staff and families on physical therapy strategies to support students in the classroom and beyond
