A one-year contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics within a K-12 school setting in Tavernier, FL. This position offers potential extensions or transition to permanent status. The role involves providing individualized therapy to children aged 2 to 18 in a pediatric outpatient clinic, focusing on mild to moderate communication challenges without medically fragile cases.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations, delivering direct therapy sessions, and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The caseload primarily addresses pragmatic language skills, receptive and expressive language delays, reading and writing difficulties, articulation disorders, and support for children with high-functioning autism.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Pediatric SLP experience, preferably within outpatient or school settings
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)

• Ability to work effectively with children exhibiting mild to moderate communication impairments and autism spectrum disorders
