Job Overview:
Vocovision is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide virtual therapy services to K-12 students in Iowa. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with students facing a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges, helping them build the skills they need to succeed in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services virtually to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students therapy needs and goals.
Develop customized treatment plans that promote student success in school-based tasks (e.g., fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory regulation, daily living skills).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, speech therapists, and parents.
Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain all required records in compliance with state and district policies.
Utilize digital tools and teletherapy platforms to provide engaging and effective remote sessions.
Requirements:
Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Iowa
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
ASHA certification or eligibility (if required by the state)
At least 2 years of school-based experience (preferred)
Comfortable and competent with teletherapy platforms and digital tools
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teletherapy experience
Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance in Iowa
Experience working with diverse student populations (e.g., autism, ADHD, physical impairments)
