School Audiologist - Lexington, Kentucky

A school-based audiologist opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Lexington, KY. This contract position offers the chance to apply your specialized skills in audiology to support student success and well-being through comprehensive hearing assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students.
• Develop and implement individualized hearing plans and auditory habilitation programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support students with hearing impairments.
• Provide counseling and education to students and families regarding hearing loss and hearing aid use.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and legal requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust services as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
• State licensure as an audiologist and eligibility to practice in Kentucky.
• Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of hearing disorders, auditory assessment technologies, and hearing aid management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
