School Audiologist - Burlington, Vermont

A K-12 school in Burlington, VT is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join their educational team on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing essential audiological services to support students hearing health and communication development within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage hearing impairments, collaborating with educators and families to develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Fit and maintain hearing assistive technology and hearing aids as needed.
• Monitor student progress and make recommendations for accommodations or referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with regulatory and school policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support individualized education programs (IEPs).

Desired Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
• State licensure or certification to practice audiology.
• Experience working within a K-12 educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of school audiology protocols and assistive technology.
