Physical Therapist - School Setting in Maple Valley, WA

A K-12 school in Maple Valley, WA, is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to support student health and wellness on a contract basis. This role involves working directly with students to assess and develop individualized therapy plans that enhance mobility, participation, and overall physical functioning within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate physical needs of students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Develop and implement targeted therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to tailor care plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide training and support to school staff regarding therapy techniques and accommodations.

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
• Strong knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities affecting children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with educational regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes is an advantage.
