An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Newalla, OK. This contract position calls for a professional dedicated to improving the educational experience and functional independence of students through targeted therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students occupational therapy needs across grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance students physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school and state regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license or certification appropriate for practice in Oklahoma.
- Experience working with children across the elementary to high school age range.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric therapeutic techniques and educational interventions.
