Job Description
A K-12 educational setting in Tyler, TX is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. This role focuses on supporting students' communication development and addressing speech and language disorders within a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies

- Stay current with best practices and regulatory standards in speech-language pathology
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and maintain thorough documentation
- Familiarity with educational laws, IDEA, and IEP processes is an advantage
