School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Chula Vista, California

An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Chula Vista, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists and educators to enhance communication skills among diverse student populations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Support students in developing speech and language skills through direct intervention and group activities.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with program guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to promote effective communication strategies.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the evaluation of student needs and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language developmental milestones.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work independently under supervision.
