Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Business Officer, or their designee, the Sustainability/Utility Assistant will be trained and learn about Executive Order 22, a directive to state agencies to adopt a comprehensive sustainability and decarbonization program aimed at enhancing New York States environmental performance within Taconic region. Duties include but are not limited to: Process payments for utility purchasing including but not limited to Electric, gasoline, fuel oil, propane and water. Collect data for an annual report, analyzing data to assist the region with best practices as it relates to sustainability. Monitor and track the solar contracts as well as the refuse and recycling contracts within the region Projects or other duties as assigned as needed.

Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Required Skills/Abilities: HS diploma Preference will be given to those who demonstrate they have 2-year or 4-year College degree in accounting, finance, or business administration. Candidate should be able to demonstrate their efficiency in Microsoft programs, especially, Outlook and Excel, other programs will be taught but having computer proficiency is a must.OPERATIONAL NEEDS: Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
