  • Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions, targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive care approaches.
  • Empower patients and families through education to foster continued progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout treatment journeys.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay updated on field advancements through ongoing education and interaction with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
