Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage for a K-12 student population. This contract position offers the opportunity to work primarily in-person, with teletherapy (VOCO) considered if preferred. The role begins with orientation in mid-August, with services starting on August 26th. Location: Fort Washington, MD Duration: School Year (Contract) Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week Start Date: August 14th or 15th, with new teacher orientation prior to the first student day on August 26th Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student communication goals Utilize both in-person sessions and teletherapy platforms as appropriate to meet student needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations Qualifications: Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings Skills in teletherapy delivery are preferred, but in-person service is the primary mode Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team This position supports essential speech-language services during a maternity leave and offers meaningful engagement with a diverse student body.
