American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for a night shift hospital assignment in Wisconsin requiring at least 1 year of experience and multiple current certifications.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based position on the CRT/Neuro Diagnostics unit
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
36 hours per week over a 13-week contract
Weekend coverage required every other or every third weekend
Work with a team of two RTs during night shifts
Floating to different units within the hospital as needed
Patient population includes newborns requiring CPAP
Current use of AHA-certified protocols and respiratory equipment
First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Must participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if needed
Cannot have a primary residence within a 60-mile radius of the facility
Travelers may not work more than 1 year consecutively at the facility and must take a 1-year break between assignments
Holiday time-off requests may be limited if multiple holidays occur during the assignment
COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this role
All compliance and credentialing tasks must be completed promptly to avoid delays or possible cancellation
Orientation includes up to 8 hours of modules completed during initial training

Requirements

Current Wisconsin state license required (license required if applicable)
CRT or RRT credential issued by the NBRC
Associate degree, diploma, or certification from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
Current AHA-certified ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications must be completed prior to start
Experience with neonatal CPAP therapy encouraged
Two references are required, with at least one from a supervisor
