Description

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, employing various standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans targeting specific short-term objectives alongside broader communicative, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver targeted, one-on-one speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to formulate holistic care strategies.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families, ensuring they have the tools to support progress beyond our sessions.
  • Assist in delivering inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise documentation congruent with local, state, and organizational guidelines.
  • Engage in continual professional development through ongoing education and peer interactions to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
