Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and insightful observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that encompass immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions centered on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teamsincluding physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family membersto develop synchronized care plans that uplift our patients.
  • Educate patients and their families to support continuity of progress in everyday environments.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a consistent care trajectory throughout their recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to continual professional growth through ongoing education and collaborative interactions with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

  • A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
