Description

  • Assess patients from pediatric through geriatric populations utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment strategies focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing objectives.
  • Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice articulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to foster unified care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families, empowering them to support recovery beyond clinic visits.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure consistent care during treatment progression.
  • Adhere to precise documentation practices aligned with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continual education and collaborative learning to stay updated in the evolving field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized academic institution.
  • Completion of a facilitated Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
