Location: Providence, RI, Pawtucket, RI, Central Falls, RI Reports To: Program Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time - Monday- Friday, 8 hour shifts
Are you passionate about helping young children reach their fullest potential? At Children’s Friend , we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team, where you’ll work hands-on with families of children from birth to age three who are experiencing developmental delays or medical conditions.
You’ll empower caregivers, support developmental goals, and provide services directly in the environments where children live, learn, and play — their homes and communities.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with families to promote healthy growth through hands-on, family-centered physical therapy.
Evaluate and support developmental progress, helping create and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to deliver holistic and coordinated services.
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and meet productivity standards.
Support transitions as children graduate from Early Intervention programs.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
You Bring:
A degree in Physical Therapy and current licensure.
At least 2 years of experience working with young children (experience with special needs is a plus).
A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
The ability to work independently, adapt to diverse families, and contribute meaningfully to a team.
