Job Description
Located in the heart of the historic St. Johns neighborhood in North Portland, Blue Foot Healing Massage & Wellness is seeking a part-time Licensed Massage Therapist.
Blue Foot Healing is a pain relief-focused massage and wellness center that serves the community of St. Johns, Portland. Through a holistic approach to addressing pain, we aim to restore harmony within ones own body creating ease and enjoyment. We are committed to making massage and wellness more available to communities of minority, neglect, and under-representation in the field of health and wellness. Groups such as the LGBTQIAS2+, Oncology Patients, the Elder community, and End-of-Life Care.
With an emphasis on access and affordability to quality massage therapy, Blue Foot Healing receives clients from Auto Injury Care, Workers Comp cases, VA Referrals, Private Health Insurance (PPOs, Self-Funded Plans), FSA & HSA reimbursements, and of course private pay. We are looking to expand our group of practitioners who prioritize safety, understanding, and compassion for our clients and the healing paths they walk.
Qualifications
Valid OBMT Massage Therapy License (required)
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Proficient in patient assessment and providing patient service
Skilled in various massage therapy techniques
Experience in a healthcare and wellness environment
East West College of the Healing Arts alumni encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality massage therapy services to clients, ensuring a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to address individual needs
Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans, utilizing effective applied massage therapy techniques
Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress while adhering to medical terminology standards, charting policies, and procedures
Deliver exceptional patient and customer service, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pain relief, rehabilitation, and holistic wellness
