Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team at Carthage Rehabilitation. As a Therapist - SLP, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve optimal communication and swallowing skills. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and address communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote speech, language, and swallowing skills
Provide evidence-based interventions, including articulation therapy, language development, and swallowing rehabilitation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Clinical certification or licensure as an SLP (CCC-SLP or equivalent)
1+ year of experience in speech language pathology, preferably in a rehabilitation setting
Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with patients of diverse ages and needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to maintain accurate records and document patient progress
