Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments along with observational approaches.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions emphasizing fluency, language, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to establish integrated care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of clinical visits.
  • Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Keep up with detailed and accurate documentation that complies with all state and federal regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing education and peer discussions to remain abreast of advancements in the speech-language field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution.
  • A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't achieved ASHA certification yet.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Therapist .
  • ASHAs Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
