Job Title: Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist
Join Our Dynamic Team at Elm Wood Center
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Elm Wood Center. As a Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and residents, providing exceptional speech and language therapy services in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients and residents with communication and swallowing disorders
Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions, including articulation, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing therapy
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care
Develop and implement strategies to promote communication and swallowing skills, enhancing the quality of life for our patients and residents
Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, including treatment plans, assessments, and progress notes
Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
1-2 years of experience in speech language pathology, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with patients and residents with diverse needs and abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ability to maintain accurate and timely records, and to participate in ongoing education and professional development
What We Offer:
Competitive salary range: $39-$45 per hour
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Weekend rotation required
