Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 educational setting located in Gaithersburg, MD. This contract role involves working 1.5 days per week during the normal school year (NSY), providing targeted support primarily in social skills development and articulation for students, including some with autism, but with no aggressive behaviors observed. Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech and language services tailored to K-12 students. Focus on social skills and articulation interventions to support student communication needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Navigate specific communication tool constraints; while VOCO use is currently restricted by stakeholders, billing for VOCO occupational therapy is conducted in affiliated schools. Maintain accurate documentation and progress records for all caseload students. Qualifications: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. State licensure as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working with school-aged children, including those on the autism spectrum. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with school-based regulations and documentation requirements. Additional Opportunity:
