Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in an elementary school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, in-person contract position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, providing essential therapeutic services to support student development and educational success. Assignment Duration: September 3, 2025 - June 16, 2026
Work Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 50 students, ages Pre K-12
Work Setting: Elementary School (in-person only, no virtual option) Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to support students' functional skills and participation in educational activities Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Assist in evaluating student needs and progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reports Adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs across a wide age range Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment Desired Qualifications: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in healthcare and school-based settings preferred Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students with varied needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to providing hands-on, in-person support and interventions This position offers a rewarding environment to make a meaningful difference in students' lives throughout the school year.
