Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Supporting middle school students in a Long Beach, CA school setting, this contract position offers an opportunity for experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide dedicated 1:1 therapy services during the upcoming school year. The role will commence on August 18, 2025, and is expected to continue for several months until internal hiring is completed. Key Details: Location: Long Beach, CA (multiple school sites, up to 3 across the week) Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per week Single school site assignment per day Duration: New school year with potential to extend based on internal hiring timelines Role: Providing direct pediatric occupational therapy assistance to middle school students on a 1:1 basis Qualifications and Experience: Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing Pediatric experience is required Preference given to candidates with school-based occupational therapy background Candidates must have prior experience; new graduates will not be considered Ability to adapt to different school environments and work collaboratively with educational staff Responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 occupational therapy services tailored to middle school students' needs Collaborate with school personnel and therapists to support student success Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress Travel between school sites within the district as assigned Benefits and Perks: Opportunity to gain diverse experience across multiple school settings Flexible part-time hours accommodating work-life balance Supportive environment focused on student-centered care Interested candidates who meet the criteria are encouraged to submit their resumes for consideration.
