Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Position Purpose : In an outpatient rehabilitation setting, a rehab aide primarily supports physical and occupational therapists by assisting with patient care and maintaining the therapy environment. This includes preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, helping patients with exercises, and performing administrative tasks like scheduling and record-keeping. They may also assist with patient transfers, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean and organized workspace.

What you will do:

  • Preparing treatment areas: Rehab aides ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and equipped for therapy sessions.
  • Setting up equipment: They prepare necessary equipment for specific exercises and therapies.
  • Assisting with exercises: They may help patients with basic exercises, under the direction of the therapist, and provide encouragement.
  • Patient transfers and mobility: They may assist with transferring patients, especially those with mobility limitations, between treatment areas or to and from wheelchairs.
  • Basic patient care: This can include applying ice or heat packs as directed by the therapist.
  • Observing and reporting: They observe patient responses to treatment and report any unusual reactions or conditions to the therapist.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Previous experience in patient care setting preferred
