Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role includes the development of individualized treatment plans, family and staff education, and active collaboration with the care team to promote optimal resident outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address resident needs Provide skilled therapy services aligned with medically necessary goals Assist with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when needed Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on treatment techniques and progress Collaborate with physicians to coordinate instrumental swallowing evaluations (MBSS, FEES) Document services accurately and timely per facility and regulatory requirements Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold dignity at all times Qualifications Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist license ASHA Certification Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) preferred Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus Strong interpersonal skills Why Join Rollingbrook Rehabilitation?
