Respiratory Clinical Supervisor

The Respiratory Clinical Supervisor performs both direct patient care as well as administrative duties, including policy and procedure maintenance & development, management, orientation and precepting of new staff, Respiratory Therapist competency evaluation, and ongoing clinical supervision. The Respiratory Supervisor processes more in-depth clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to oversee complex pediatric and adult patients. The Respiratory Supervisor also works closely with the quality department to monitor safety and quality within this department. This position reports directly to the Sr. Respiratory Clinical Manager and is responsible for the ongoing supervision of the Respiratory Team.

Education:

• AA in Respiratory Therapy Required
• BS in Respiratory Therapy, preferred. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of education

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

• Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Technician is required
• Must be licensed by the Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance, and other licenses required or must be obtained within the first year for the District of Columbia and Virginia.
• CPR
• Current, valid Maryland Drivers License, preferably with no points.
• Valid auto insurance

Work Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in practicing respiratory care in the home or hospital setting is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory skills or leadership role, preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in respiratory assessment, patient management, and strong critical thinking skills.

Salary Range: Minimum $33.74/hour - Maximum $61.27/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
