The Callier Center for Communication Disorders at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a motivated and compassionate Audiologist to join our pediatric team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with patients from birth to 18 years of age, delivering both diagnostic and therapeutic audiological services in a collaborative, research-informed clinical environment. The audiologist's scope of practice includes comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid dispensing, and the fitting of assistive listening devices as appropriate. A critical part of the role is performing advanced diagnostic procedures, including threshold auditory evoked potential (AEP) testing on naturally sleeping infants to confirm or rule out hearing loss. Preferred Education and Experience Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; preference will be given to candidates who have completed pediatric-focused externships . Three (3) or more years of experience as a pediatric audiologist is preferred, particularly to support the supervision of Doctor of Audiology students in a clinical setting. Experience in pediatric hearing aid dispensing is highly desirable. Prior experience in clinical supervision is preferred. Demonstrates the ability and willingness to communicate and work with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality with patients of all ages and linguistic backgrounds. Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates proficiency in all standard audiological procedures, including electrophysiologic testing of infants and the fitting and dispensing of hearing aids. Regularly acquires knowledge of new procedures and incorporates them into daily practice. Recommends and dispenses appropriate amplification and assistive listening devices. Provides supervision to students in training, externs, clinical fellows, and paraprofessionals. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice audiology in the State of Texas, and hold certification from either the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (ABA) by the start of employment. Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. Holds current Audiology license in the state of Texas or can obtain within 90 days of hire. Applicants that hold a current state license in Audiology and met all requirements at the time of licensure will be considered qualifying with a master's degree in Audiology or closely related field.
