Speech Language Pathologist in Utica, NY

A School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Herkimer, NY, serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time, itinerant role operates within a K-12 school setting, providing specialized speech and language support without performing evaluations. The position spans the 2025-2026 school year, from September to June, covering approximately 37.5 to 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels
• Utilize expertise with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices in therapy sessions
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized treatment plans
• Manage a caseload of students in an itinerant capacity, traveling between locations as needed
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress, adhering to school guidelines

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid New York State SLP license
• Experience working with AAC devices
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with students, families, and educational staff
