School-Based Occupational Therapist Job

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a collaborative and student-focused school district in Belvidere, Illinois for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated special education team to support students developmental and educational goals.

The district emphasizes thoughtful caseload placement based on each therapists experience, strengths, and preferences. Because of this individualized approach, specific caseload details will be shared during the interview process. Candidates are encouraged to interview even if full caseload information is not yet available.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Providing direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEPs

• Conducting assessments and contributing to eligibility and annual review processes

• Supporting students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills

• Collaborating with educators, families, and other related service providers

• Documenting services and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations

Requirements:

• Illinois OT License (active or in process)

• School-based experience preferred but not required

• Strong communication skills and a student-first mindset
