Travel Speech Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP, BLS, and SD licensure for an inpatient hospital setting working with diverse patient populations.

• Work in a hospital-based speech therapy department
• Patient populations include ICU, orthopedics, neurology, medical oncology, general medicine, and cardio-pulmonary cases
• Cases include video swallow studies
• Equipment used includes AAC devices and MBSImP procedures
• 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation is available only if desired
• No floating or on-call required
• EPIC used for charting; experience preferred
• Rehab supervisors provide departmental support
• 5-7 days of orientation provided
• Scrub colors are pewter, dark grey, or granite
• Free parking available on site
• Facility is traveler-friendly and frequently renews contracts
• No local travelers allowed; candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius
• Holiday coverage is not required
• Approval for time off must come from the supervisor and is not guaranteed for more than 7 days
• First-time travelers may be considered if prior experience and setting are appropriate

• Current and valid Speech-Language Pathology license in South Dakota (license required if applicable)
• Current CCC-SLP certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year experience is required
• MBSImP skills required
