Provide specialized physical therapy services in a K-12 educational setting, serving students with a range of abilities and needs, including mild to severe disabilities, autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbances, and Down Syndrome. This contract position offers a dynamic opportunity to support student development throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs in compliance with educational and clinical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professional expertise to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements related to student health records.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist License required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings highly preferred.
- Ability to engage effectively with students across grades K-12, including those with a broad spectrum of disabilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Commitment to supporting student wellness and educational goals.
