Harborview Medical Center Otolaryngology has an outstanding opportunity for a Occupational Therapist 2 - CHT.
WORK SCHEDULE
- FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week
- Day Shift
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, the Occupational Therapist 2 will assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe hand therapy for a trauma based patient population.
This will include progression of treatment goals and patient and family education. The Therapist will assess and treat a patient caseload ranging from routine to complex patient problems and situations and utilize training in the evaluation and treatment process. Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge. Implement treatment programs, which include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, splinting and physical agents. Instruct, assign work and evaluate students as assigned by supervisor.
Acts as a resource within the rehab therapy department and for other health care professional. Participates in service or selected department activities/projects to promote delivery of quality hand therapy care. Provides education training to other rehab therapy staff and health care professionals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist to practice occupational therapy.
Graduation from an accredited occupational therapist university and successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy examination for an occupational therapist
AND
18 months of professional occupational therapy experience.
OR
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Desired: CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred
